Middle American, Greek food, served up by teenage girls in a small hole in the wall in a strip mall plaza in small town Michigan. But, the food is damn good. Exceeds any expectations we had for the place. One of our favorite southeast Michigan stops.
We went with the mixed meat gyro, lamb, chicken, and beef. Everything tasted amazing, we just wished there was a little more meat. Sort of skimpy in that regard, which is too bad because the meat that was there was delicious, there just needed to be more. Also, yummy fat ass steak fries. Who doesn't love them? Salted just right. Perfectly crispy. Greek salad was great. Very generous with the cheese, which is always something we appreciate. Although there were no beets or olives which is disappointing for a Greek salad. So really, the biggest complaint wasn't so much how the food tasted, because it was all delicious, or the service, because it was fast and friendly and efficient, but the lack of certain things that we craved. More tender, juicy meat, more Greek ingredients in the Greek salad, etc.
Also had the sweet and sour wings, which were good, not great, but good. Tasted good, but they were a little skimpy, again, not much meat on the bone. But the sauce was great, all the other food was as well. Also, in all fairness, I don;t want it to sound like we were unhappy with the food portions, the combination of gyro, steak fries, and Greek salad all for a reasonable price, left us plenty full, I don;t even think we finished it all which is saying something for us. So yeah.
