Keep in mind, it is the Midwest, where people think that Pizza Hut stuffed crust is the best pizza ever. But that fact aside, this is some pretty good pizza. It's a little dive joint snuggled between a mattress factory and a radio station and if you don't know it's there you might miss it, but if you find it, please step inside. The tables are old school style KY bourbon barrels with a few booths in the mix. Scribbled crayon drawings adorn the walls. And the best thing for us was, when we ordered our food, a medium meat lovers pizza, pizza calzone, Caribbean Jerk wings, and a two liter of Pepsi, the guy behind the counter gave us a large pizza for the price of a medium, about a $4 difference.
The pizza was pretty great. In a world of Midwest pizza joints using frozen crusts and canned sauce, this was a throwback to better days. Guys were in the back throwing pizza dough in the air and chopping meat for toppings. And it was some pretty great stuff. Soft, buttery crust, Not thin or thick. The wings weren't the best but they weren't bad. Calzone was amazing. A tad greasy, but delicious. Everything about this place tasted and felt right. If you ever make it to Adrian, look up the Pizza Bucket.
